    Hello all,
    Has anyone got anything to comment re the Great Series by Islop re Memorials ??

    It was certainly a very good series. I should think that it must have been difficult to decide which stories to use. Just about every family in Britain must have similar tales to tell.
    Like my Great Uncle Edmund who had retired after many years in the RN. On the outbreak of war he volunteered to go back, claiming to be age 40 (he was 49). They put him HMS Crecy - which was sunk three weeks later.
    And then there was 19 year old Alfred - but you see what I mean
