Discrimination in the army WW1

  hi i'm a student and am doing an essay
  
  'analyse the differences in attitudes towards the participation of people from the west indies in the first world war and those from the indian empire'
  
  Know that might sound a bit much but i'm looking at racism and discrimination towards these people during the first world war. what their roles were, how they were treated by other soldiers. i know people don't like to think that discrimination was an issue during this time but it happened. i'd like some information on links to appropriate websites or books if possible. i know it's alot to ask but i can't seem to find anything relevent and i'm running out of options.
