Just in case that you have not yet twigged on, the subscribors faran1 and Miss_C_1982 are one and the same.
Are you sure?? What's the motive behind that then?? .......... a homework scam??? Just in case that you have not yet twigged on, the subscribors faran1 and Miss_C_1982 are one and the same.Μύ
I'm not so sure that they are...miss_c's messages are at least in coherent English whereas faran's are not. Miss_c also replied to faran's question re: caesar in a coherent way, again something unlikely to have come from faran!
Would the real Miss_C_1982 please step forward and reveal yourself.
I mean that in the politest possible way of course.........
It is difficult to tell with short questions, but Miss C at least seems reasonably able to spell and use punctuation, something sadly lacking in faran's posts.
I'm not convinced. I don't think there's enough evidence to convict anyone on this charge. Where's Basil Rathbone when you need him?? .........AH HA!! just thought of one for the war films thread........
I guess that our 'Miss' is B.T. who was thrown out of a US military academy for cheating...He also planned a multi-million pound opium deal with rogue KGB agent,General Vasiliy Petrov.
Settle down please class! I joined this board recently because I'm a history teacher newly arrived in the country and thought using ICTs in education might help to engage my students in the topics they are studying.
Please, your cover has been blowed! Own up to it! You are Macavity, AKA Hidden Paw!
Welcome to the asylum!
haha, thanks Elistan.
As for anyone who may be running a purported 'homework scam' (whatever that might be) if my students were keen enough on getting their homework done to create numerous identities and trawl the history boards in disguise seeking answers to the questions I had set them I'd be well pleased! Better than a blank notebook and a lame excuse anyway!
Re: Message 5.
Tony,
I guess Faran is a German Turkish youngster. He or she said something to that in a ...vague way...
Kind regards.
I feel slightly embarrassed now. When I referred to homework scam, I had visions of someone just putting their homework question on to the message board, then simply editing and copying the replies to score some serious points in class. Pretty good chance of an 'A' grade with very little research or personal effort involved.
Yes, its a good thing to get the students involved in using technology, and anything that encourages them to show a bit of interest in History, Archaeology, Politics etc certainly gets my vote.
My apologies for the slightly cheeky comment earlier in the thread, thats just my wicked sense of humour. No offence intended.

Plancenoit,
That does occasionally happen, when you get someone who has an essay to write, so they post a question and then use the answers, although some of the board users have been known to post replies to such threads saying "Do your own research, you might learn something!!!"
