this land (war poem)

  this is another poem i have written, again tell me what you think. they are both dedicated to men and women who fought in any war.
  
  This land is where I fought
  For country, freedom and all sorts
  This land that you can see
  Where so many things happened, such cruelty
  Where even the tough men cried
  And so many died.
  
  This land so blissful now
  Had things happen, you would never allow
  Images you could never imagine
  So many lives broken
  Things I did here, I would never want to do again
  Things I could never have the courage to explain.
  
  So many lives I killed
  Lives I can never rebuild
  Why did I sign up for it, why?
  β€˜Dulce et Decorum est Pro patria mori’
  These words keep running through my head
  Tell that to the families of loved-ones who are dead.
  
  This land is where I fought
  Where lives were cut far too short!
  This land, so gentle now
  Had horrid things happen, somehow
  So please have a thought
  For the people who died on this silent land where I fought.

  I like it really...
  'Tell that to the families of loved-ones who are dead',but we have to obtain these true figures of these who are dead...
  History belongs to people to learn the lessons from.
  History has never been supposed for unknown 'bad and good' things to cheat the world.
