As a school project, im required to type up a paper on the topic of the Wars of the Roses and provide a trifold. Those two things, i can take care of pretty easily but the last requirement stumps me, a visual, as in something like a model, not a poster.

Now, what most people would say would be to make a diorama of one of the battles but you see, im not very good on those kinds of things, i have no past experience in working with landscapes. And where would i get 15th century british soldiers!?

So what i am seeking is an alternate idea. No thoughts are coming to my mind. Of course, i could probably do the aforementioned idea if someone could direct me to a link that helps in the landscaping area. And probably somewhere i can get british soldier figures.

Any help or suggestions will be appreciated greatly! If my post is inappropriate, i am sincerely sorry.

    Hi

Pick up most library books about the wars and you'll get plenty of descriptions of the battlefield topography etc as well as diagrams, or try google(pictures or words?) for the uniforms, soldiers deployed, terrain etc.

Usually, the battle of Towton, march 1461, is well documented due to the terrible slaughter that occurred there.

    Good luck.

The "English Army" of bills and bows is well covered by war games figures manufacturere - if you go for one of the smaller scales (say 6 mm, about 1-220) they shouldn't cost too much - though they will need painting. Alternatively, find a local wargames club, and see if someone would let you take some photos of a wargame of the period set up, and just use that as a backdrop with a couple of figure in front of it. Best of luck with it- but it really shouldn't be too hard.

Try to re-enact Bosworth field: you only need a gentle slope and a few trees (and a bush for the crown to be found in) and not many soldiers. Stanley stood idle and watched his king slain, and Richard charged at Henry with only a few supporters. Simple battle, short timescale and momentus outcome !
