Hi I am trying to trace the birth of David Ledger I know he was married in 1821 Sheffield, in 1841 on the census he was age 45 1851 census he was 44 and when he died in 1853 he was 66 I have been unable to find any record of his birth and at a loss where to look next and in what year any help or ideas would be most welcome.
Hi Sleepymadness,
Based on David Ledger being aged 66 at the time of his death on family Search there is a record of a David Ledger christening on the 24the July, 1786 in Campsall, Yorkshire and parents are shown as John and Mary Ledger.
Trust this helps
Regards
Spike
