Death in scotland

    can anyone trace the details of my great aunts death her name was Margaret A B Watt I dont know the date, but It was after June 1957 because that was whn she retired as headteacher from cowpits school..

    Due to data protection law these are not listed on Scotland's People (there is a restriction on deaths less than 50 years ago)but if you contact the General Register Office for Scotland on Princes Street, Edinburgh, they can for a fee search for a period. You can also do it yourself there again for a fee. The system is computerised so it is very easy to use.
