    Hi all,

Im trying to locate Martha Folley on the 1871 census ! I know she was still Martha Folley in 1867 when she registered her mother death, but she may have married by the 1871 census.
Martha was born on the 12th October 1839 at Stokenchurch, Bucks/Oxon. She also states that she was born at Chinnor on other census's. On the 1861 census she was living with her Mother and father at Chinnor in Oxon. I beleive she may of had three illigitamate children but im not sure. Two died but Rosannah Folley was born in 1867.
    Any help would be appreciated.
    Regards
    AS

    Hi,
On the 1871 census is the following couple living in Stokenchurch:

William Biggs born abt. 1838 in Stokenchurch.

Martha, wife born abt. 1838 in Stokenchurch.

    No children living with them.

    Source Information: RG10/1406
    Registration District: Wycombe
    Folio 46
    Page 13

The only marriage registration that came close was at Wycombe September 1/4 1870 between a William Biggs and a Martha BIRD? other than that one I could not find one.

Trust this is the correct people
    Regards
    Spike

    Thanks for that Spike,
i saw this family on the 1881 cenus, but discounted it as, as you said the FBMD index show her as being Martha Bird. There was anothe Martha on the 1881 census living in Wycombe, but not sure whether this was the correct one !

    Best wishes

    hi Anisel,

im afraid this familyis not mine. They are connected and on my tree, but are distant relations. it would be interesting to know this Rossana's father was. i could then add her to the tree. One possibility would be a George, could any body help me locate him on the 1871 census? George was born at Chinnor in 1834.
    Any help would be great.

    Best wishes

    JF
