I am trying without much succsess to find the name of the people who lived at THE SCHOOLHOUSE COWPITS MUSSLEBURGH in Scotland in the 1920/30/40
I have a picture of this house and my mother always said she lived there as a child with her aunt but I cannot trace the aunt. this is a missing part of the jigsaw and i have hit a brick wall with this part of the family tree...
Have you tried the Electoral Registers for Mussleburgh between 1920 and 1940?
Regards
Bill
thanks Bill, will I find this on line? as I live at the other end of the country it's impossible for me to visit records office
Unfortunately not. They are normally held at the Local Record Office. There is a Local History Centre for East Lothian so it might be worth contacting them for advice.
Regards
Bill
