Could someone please look up the above census/es and see if they can identify which of the following ladies my great uncle John Thomas Darby, born in 1862 in Six Hills Leicestershire, was married to?

Emma Ann Swift or Betsey Ann Wimpress or neither?

He was married in the September Quarter of 1885 in the District of Barrow upon Soar.

Whatever details are available would be greatly appreciated.

    Regards

Can't find him in 1891, but in 1901 he is living in Three Crowns Lane, Barrow on Soar. His wife is Eliza, who could be Betsey Ann or someone else entirely! John is a stoker fireman.

Grace Darby abt 1886 Barrow Upon Soar, Leicestershire, England Daughter Barrow upon Soar Leicestershire

    Hi Anisel

Firstly let me apologise for the delay in responding to your reply. My only excuse is that work and watching the cricket overtook just about everything else.

Many thanks for the information it was a great help to be able to eliminate the two ladies I asked about. I can set about finding who Eliza was and the rest of her family.

    Regards
    Michelle

PS despite the fact I live in Oz I avidly follow the English Cricket Team and am thoroughly enjoying the current series!!!

    Hi Skeg

Firstly I must apologise for the delay in responding to the information you sent me about my relation John Thomas Darby.

My only excuse for the delay is work and the cricket.

Thank you for taking the time to look up my enquiry your information has helped me eliminate the two ladies I asked about and I can now start to search for Eliza's family.

Now if you can ensure that the rain stays away for the next 48 hours so that it doesn't interrupt the cricket that would be a real bonus!!!

    Regards
    Michelle
