Can any kind person with access to 1837 etc try to find a marrige for me. I know that that they both married a Sharp / Sharpe in the 1900`s. One was Elizabeth Taylor and the other was Ethel Taylor, Elizabeth & Ethel were sisters and i suspect that they married two brothers. I am trying to find thier marrige so i confirm or rule out a family connection
Regards Trevor
Hi Trevor,
Had a quick look and in just the one year of 1900 there were 60 Elizabeth Taylors who got married all over the country. Are you able to give the places or areas of marriage for your two ladies?
Regards
Spike
Hi Spike, the olny thig i`ve got is both Elizabeth & Ethel both had middle names starting with A. They were both born in Windlesham, But moved to Ascot not sure when but would imagine they would have married around one of those areas. The only other info i have is that i have checked up to 1914 it took a long time in the libary but i might i missed one of them but i am quite sure i did not
Regards Trevor
Hi Trevor,
I am unable to find a marriage between the names Elizabeth A and a Ethal A TAYLOR to a SHARP(E)?? using the widest paramitors. Is it possible that as some people did , they prefered to use their middle name as a first name also it may help with location etc if you have their parents details if you think it would help. Getting desperate now!
Regards
Spike
Hi Spike thanks for that, i was hoping to confirm fathers name by the marrige cert as on all other certs they keep changing the spelling
Regards Trevor
Hi Trevor
I also checked from 1915-1920. There was only an Elizabeth R Taylor where the spouces name was Sharp and no Ethel. The marriage was in Wandsworth Dec 1918.
Regards
Thanks for that Bill
