1851 Census Lookup - Swaine

  This is a bit cheeky but I don't suppose anyone has access to the 1851 census and could have a quick look for my Great Great Great Grandfather?
  
  His name is John Swaine and he was born in 1821 in Leeds though in 1851 he would have been living in Barnsley. I know he lived on Elis/Heelis Street in 1841 but by 1861 was living in Winn Street. He was employed as a linen weaver all his life.
  
  In 1841 his wife was called Susan but it appears she died (I presume thay divorce was very rare in those days) at some point between then and the 1861 census where he is married to a woman called Alice.
  
  I know he had one daughter by his first wife called Mary Ann, born in around 1840. I know he also had a son born in 1850 or 1851 called Thomas so he might also be mentioned.
  
  If anyone can help find his details from 1851 I would be eternally grateful!

  Regrettably the 1851 census records are not complete. But you may find a useful website where you can download the 1851 census by area.

  I've found this site useful. It has the 1851, 1881, and 1891 census as well as other data. The amount of information varies, according to what was transcribed. It is pay to view, but not expensive.
