Hi folks I have just been given info on this guy, I've missed him!
Born 1881, on the 91 census he's with David Clark, his granddad in Solihull as Bottle, I cant find this.

I cannot find him on any other census though have found a death in 1916, dad is Bernard/Richard Battle, mom Ellen clark if someone could find him please before we lose our message board, Thank you.

1911 occupation ( presumably when well !!) is a Carter in iron Plate works

He was 5ft 3 3/4 ins tall and weight 110 ilbs Blue eyes red hair
had an anchor, dagger and heart tattoo right forearm , and HCD (?) Battle on left forearm and was Cof E , lived at 44 Albion Rd Greet and worked at the Umberella Works Greet

Looking at his record I see he's grown a bit ! as the record has him at 5ft 5 tall and 119 lbs in weight !

Looks like he was discharged from the army on medical grounds , something to do with the heart from the notes, though writing is hard to read
That's interesting Jan, his brother James Henry, my great grandfather suposedly had heart trouble and died young in 1926.
Well that's a lot to read!! And quiet hard, he had red hair, was unwell in India, lsoing weight, chest pains, was mis-behaving in Hong Kong!! Very interesting lol!
