Between 1836 and 1839 the 47th Foot was in Jersey. I'm searching for the record of a marriage between Laurence McDonald (then a private in the regiment) and Mary Quinn at about that time. Are any of Jersey's records from that time available online for me to check whether or not it took place there?
Familysearch only has births and baptisms so far for the Channel Islands
Marriage registers only began second half 1837 for UK so not sure about Channel Islands
Genuki may tell you something
Not sure what the ppv sites have someone here may know

Have you looked at the British Army Chaplain's registers which are part of the military records on findmypast.
Thanks for that info.
This is a family that was in the army generation after generation and I've found most of the marriages through local Catholic church registers rather than army records.
Jersey is a stab in the dark since he seems to have been away from the regiment recruiting much of the time.
