    William Rapley 1877 India

Can someone please give me the census 1891, 1901 and 1911 (if poss) with others and occupations, where born etc.

My sub ran out last week!

Think I've got him from family search with parents Abraham and Catherine, and a possible marriage for them in Cork 1869. What is possible to find out about them in the Irish records?

    Thanks very much.

Can you see the rest of this family in 1901?

(I think Elizabeth might have got married in 1899 to Ernest Sinkinson (but only got this from freebmd),

Can't do William in 1911 'cos A*y hasn't indexed England yet and W Rapley is just too common, esp as we don't have any idea whereabouts in the country he was.

But, here is Abraham with his parents in 1851. Father, Isaac is a baker, b. Stapleford Abbot, Glos. Mother Mary and all the children b. Havering. The adults listed after the children seem to be lodgers.

Someone on A*y has a photo of William and Ab (W's brother, I presume) in naval uniform and an Elizabeth Jane (W + A's elder sister?), and also a photo of "Christopher Abraham Rapley, 1844-1925 - Abraham Rapley on holiday in Scarborough".

If you're in OTR you can PM me (I'm SmallTownGirl there).

PS : Off to see if I can find any more of the family for you.

Got William in 1911 (from the main site and their free search, plus genes for place of birth).

Was wondering about parents, but may be able to pick 'em up now.

That's nice Mabel, that's their married daughter!

William Rapley is in the navy in Gib. I wonder if they only had the one child.

Unless they played music for pleasure no sign of music yet for my music teacher, then.

Must be on his dad's side.

That's nice, the 1911 with Dora, the mother of Mary Ann. She died in 1912 and Thomas Rapley in 1902.

On the free search I wouldn't pick this up. Especially not with that spelling of the name Toman. I thought she might have fudged her age on the census (whichever) before - so whe was older than Thomas. She must have come clean at some stage as aged 67 on the death record in 1912. Although 68 in 1911.
