I am trying to find the death of Emily Whitham. 1898-1924 age 26. I think it may have been the Rotherham area. I don't know anything about her, if she married or not. She was my late fathers older sister but she wasn't discussed. They were all still in Thorpe Hesley in 1901 but after that....well. Thankyou Mags

I couldn't find a death record for an Emily Whitman in 1924, have you a cert for her? I couldn't see an obvious marriage for her either.

Hi everyone, thank you all for your help. Yes Blossom I am well, just gave family history a break. The reason I stated Emily's death as such, is an old 1930's diary of my late father. It showed his entry 'our Emily died' under Aug 28th like an anniversary date. Somewhere I obtained 1924. It looks like I will have to send for a marriage cert to check things out. Once again thank you all. Mags
