Oldham in Lancashire Cemetery registers have just been added to Familysearch site and are browsable, they also include stillborn registers which I have not come across before.

It is nice to see an actual burial plots layout, I do have concerns over the stillbirths register, the registers at the General Regster Office are only available for legal reasons. It depends on whether there are gravestones, but if not should they be available?.

There is also a search facility from Oldham Council ( which includes quite a lot of information and that there is no charge for the index, unlike some cemeteries!. Well done Oldham.

I just discovered that to view certain records free on familysearch you have to sign in and give e mail and passwords ect as a condition of them being caretaker of certain records, fine as long as it stays free.
