    WILLIAM BOOTH b.1819 d.? (not sure 1877?)Shropshire

    I found this on NA:[no title] 4683/3/11 1877-1899

    This will explain it all

I went to Liverpool Court and filled in the form there, paid the money and it was for the date of 1886 and they sent it to me two days later, I think you can apply at any major City Court as the waiting time will not be as long.

Wills by post are applied for at the York office, no matter where in the country they came from. I know you can apply at the Oxford office in person so probably can at other offices. Have you looked at the probate calendars on ancestry, it should be listed?

GGGgrandfather WILLIAM BOOTH B.1819 d. 1877?c. possibly not sure exactly just piecing together some info' that I found on National Archives...
He ws living in St. Georges, Wrockwardine Wood (now Telford areas) Shropshire. The reference I found was to do with property that he built - houses on West street I think - I'm curious who got the property in the end and more than that try to find any living relatives (i've found a few!)

    thank you

Thank you for this info - is this the whole will then? It seems to be a bit 'lightweight'? I wonder if this is his uncles will?(Same name/era) I will have a look in my research...back in a few hours probably!!!!

uncle? above man was married to a lady called Ann and was a GROCER not a builder. You should check the last census for his occupation. also check the BMD death index to verify his age, by 1880 it will give you his age at death

his gravestone says he was 72 when he died

Not as bad as my mothers side of the family who are 'Williams' and we even have a William Williams smiley - winkeye
