Once again I am asking for a look up on the 1911 census.

I am looking for a Winifred Hinchley born Mansfield Nottinghamshire in 1904.

It is thought that her father was a James Hinchley born Mansfield in 1881 who marries a Edith Brownly in 1907.
Some how I think this is not the correct father so am asking

Can you find a Winifred Hinchley if so who are her parents.

    In hope again
    H

Thank you so very much once again.

Please can you help with Winifred's husband William Charles Hubbard whereabouts in 1911 .
This is likely to prove more difficult as his birth is only registered as Nottingham Nottinghamshire in 1905 and we have absolutely no idea who his father was or which part of Nottingham. What I fear is that he will only be down as William and not William Charles on the census. We know that ordering a certificate will have to be an option if we cannot find him in 1911.

“According to "The Complete A-Z Guide to Early Occupations" , published by Spindrift Print and Publishing of Long Sutton, Spalding, Lincolnshire in 2002, a "Scavenger" (also known as a "Scaleraker") was simply a person employed by the parish to clean the streets. It is possible the term was applied to other similar occupations and sounds as though the person had fallen on difficult times, particularly if he had been a malster/malster before (defined in the Guide as a person who prepared malt for the brewing industry). I doubt if he was a vagrant, otherwise he would have been described as a pauper, although Census enumerators had often to make "best guesses" about occupations when questioning the people.â€

We had discounted the Charles William from Newark as Newark is too far from Nottingham to have the birth registered there.

Until I can prove otherwise I am sure he is the son of John George Hubbard and Eurania Florence Eaton who Windsurfing Widow posted in message 10 and Bashfuljan gave the marriage of in message 11. I have looked at Lilac Street Nottingham County, it is in Hucknal about 3 miles from Nottingham City proper so this all fits in with family history of sorts.

Once again you have helped me on my way, thank you
