After watching Tracy Emin i started to think about my Young ancestors that are recorded "as of Blackheath hill" no street or house number. One William Young married a Heane/Hearne which i think is a gypsy name. His mother was a Savage.
Anyone got any insight into this subject?

    Welcome to the board Blackeyeddog

I cant claim to have any insight into Gypsy families myself, but you could try the Rootschat board as they have a specific forum for Travelling families and they may well be able to give you some tips on searching

It is free to join and most of us on here who are amateurs also belong smiley - ok

Good luck in your research smiley - ok
