    Hi, can someone look for William John Abbott born 1896 in Tilbury, Essex on the 1911 please, no idea where he will be and who he will be with, he isn't with his parents, but may be in Kent.

    There is no record of him in the 1911 census. Have you checked The National Archives, Kew, website as he could have been in the Royal Navy.

    Just realised that was the 1901 BH, Ive got them on that its the details from the 1911 that Im after for these, its a while since I looked at this branch as they got me so confused before smiley - erm

    Don;t think William JOhn Abbott is in the navy as he's a grenadier guard when he is killed in WWI (not sure about the date of death!)

    Thanks Bertie, Im not sure if any of them are mine, According to the 1911 census for William Abbotts parents that you emailed me, they only had 2 children, 1 of whome was living which is William jnr so I don't think these are him.

    Regarding William Cheesman, if you get chance would you do a search on his younger brother Henry born 1891, again Im expecting him to be with parents.

    Jen, is this the youngest child of William & Jane as on the 1901 census and could the fact that he is in a children's home imply that something has happened to both William & Jane. I couldn't find either of them on the 1911 census.
