HI all. Frustrated here Can anyone find this family in the 41 Census please
I have William Evans aged 21, a weaver, marrying Winifred Oakes 20 in Kidderminster Register office July 1850. On the marriage certificate William gives his father as James a policeman and says he ( William) is living at Mount Pleasant Kidderminster. No note father is deceased, but I know thats not proof.
The witnesses are Elizabeth Oakes ( sister I suspect) and Henry Broom.
I can't find the Evans family on the 41 Census, nor can I find James if he is still alive on any Census William is living with his wifes family ( the Oakes's) in Kidderminster in 51 and then goes onto Shoreditch in London where he also becomes a policeman. So the policeman bit for his father rings true.
The only other thing is that William's age does vary slightly, in that he could have been born ( according to the Censuses) as late as 1832. In fact the marriage is the earliest age, so I suspect he could have been as young as 17 or 18 when he got married. In the 51 Census he is 21 but in the 61 he is 29., 71 he is 38, 81 he is 49, 91 he is 58 and he dies in 1894 aged 62.
If anyone can find the pair of them in 41 I would be very grateful

Bertie, I am not sure the surname for William is Evans in that image in the 41 Census living with the Bennetts,
Think I have found the Evans family in 41 but wouldnt mind a 2nd opinion please

Although it says William is 5 it looks like it may have been 8 originally which would fit with an 1832 birth. There also appears to be a baptism for William as I said in the message 4 above. Ann is said to be Independent. It seems that Duke Street where the family are is near to Mount Pleasant, where William is when he marries in 1850
In 1851, Ann is with John and described as a widow, so it may well be that James the father died before the 41 Census, although as a policeman it may be that he was elsewhere in the country and I just cant find him.
Cant find Ann after 51 she may have remarried
Anyway, what do people think.
