For many years now I have known that my father was adopted at a very early age, He was a war baby and his father was an American serviceman. Until very recently my father would not really talk about his father but that has all changed and I have discovered that he had a wealth of information about my Paternal grandfather and without much difficulty I have been able to trace him and his parents.
My problem is I would like to trace any living decendants and any pointers on where to start would be very much appreciated.

Have you made contact with his father or has he died.
I suggest you join Family Tree Forum where you will get all the advice you need from people who are in similar situations and used to dealing with this topic.
As the people may be living and needs gentle care and not allowed here on this board, the FTF has a n adoption board shielded from search engines and also a personal messageing system where you can pass information between people without it being posted up.
I am a member there too

No unfortunately he passed away in 1997.
I will take your advice and join the Family Tree forum and see how I get on.
Thanks for the advice
