Trying to think of an apt autumnal name for the bar I couldn't get New England in the fall out of my mind so the New England it is.
If someone will bring the pets across please.
Thanks GJW I hope you are well. It is a nice bar we have here. Snug and cosy, plenty of room for a nice big fire too.
I have brought the pets and their cages, someones knitting and slippers, plus a couple of cushions. I think someone else will have to bring Mr. Bs. Portrait and we also need a new rolled up newspaper, the other one was very tatty so I have thrown it out..
Crab and Lobster our new bar is open

Evening folks,
Hope everyone is well and enjoying the weather. Looks like Anita picked a good week to be away.
Big s for all who need or want especially Bertie's OH. Hope he is soon on the mend. It must have been a shock for all of you.
I won't join in the "men!!" chorus though - I did that a couple of Christmas ago, getting fed up of waiting for hubby to go up the ladders to get the decorations out and up for little fella. I decided to do it myself, while hubby was in bed but fell off the top of the ladder and broke my foot Little fella found me. I was immobile and housebound for over 6 weeks Am now banned from going anywhere near ladders and to be fair, it was such a shock and inconvenience, I've stuck to my promise never to go up one again Only draw back is that it means I can't clean anywhere higher than I can reach from the floor and hell will freeze over I fear, before anyone else in this house does
Good news about daughter Jen. Hope all goes well for them. Blossom, hope you enjoy your time with the family. Sorry can't remember the rest of the messages. Hope I've not missed anyone out.
Not stopping long tonight and probably won't be in for a while. Had a wisdom tooth out this afternoon and feeling a bit sorry for myself now anaesthetic is wearing off Brought it home with me to put under my pillow tonight though. I'm hoping for a visit from the tooth fairy Am hoping I will be ok by Wednesday as I'm working in Anita's home city for the rest of the week. S*ds law she's away.
Going to Hull at weekend with mum and little fella. Staying over as there is a family history fair there on Saturday. Then having a few days away with hubby and little fella. So if I'm not in again before the middle/end of next week, you'll know why.
Will love you and leave you all for now. for all who need or want while I'm not about. Oops nearly forgot for Paula and Bertie. Hope that is enough to keep you going for a while
Linda
Posted this in the old bar without realising it had closed while I was typing it. You'll have to check over there for the smileys that went with it as I don't seem to have brought them across
Linda
Don't forget us spiders & and those Lurking in the corners.
Linda, Hope the tooth fairy brings you a few pennies(pounds preferably).
Enjoy your few days away.
I must wish you all Goodnight. Pleasant Dreams

Got a phonecall this evening from another cousin on the Italian side but was in the middle of cooking so am calling her back tomorrow. She has a few corrections on my info for me and some extra info too. Hopefully Ill be able to meet her for a cuppa when Im in London. Good afternoon everyone,
Hope you are all ok today.
We are missing Anitas yummy brekkie this morning especially so you can share my lunch.
Roast pork with steamed, carrots, cauli and peas.
I didn't have a pudding but have raided the freezer for you and its choc chip icecream.
I'll be leaving shortly to go to the hospital.
I had to cancel lunch out with friends today as I knew I wouldn't enjoy it as too much on my mind.
Off to read the board.

Not a lot going on on the board.
Great course that Ruth is going on good experience. So far I haven't any strong links with India otherwise I would have joined in.
I have to clean up the kitchen and then off to the hospital. OH's request is for a pkt of malt*sers, I haven't bought them in years so how he has taken a fancy to those I don't know and I want to pick him up some grapes too.
I'll see you later.
for those with a thirst.

Hello friends,
bertie I hope things go well today at the hospital for OH and you are not made to feel angry and frustrated.
I went out berfore ten this morning and my oddfellows group was recruiting new members so I went along for support.
The advert did not go in the free paper so only members turned up and no one to recruit so next room had a meeting on so I took a load of leaflets and stuff in there and spoke to the man who ran the group to ask for him to pass them out among his members.
He asked if we coulld arrange a talk for them and he came to talk to our leader and it turned out they were a group for blind (I forgot the word) but basically it happens overnight and nothing was available for them so he bagan the group when his wife got it five years ago.
Our leader thanked me for doing this and I said well now we will have a coach full of blind people going on our trips and outings, but at least it has given them something else to think about.
I just got back about 2pm and need to get some gardening done but I am so tired I only slept for two hours from 6am to 8am when the alarm went off.
It is a beautiful day here today, anita and family couldnt have timed it better for their holiday.

Just putting my feet up for a before heading back to the hospital. I only arrived home at 5pm and setting out again at 6pm.
I was rather shocked to see OH today with his back brace on , its huge. I had a vision of just a small belt in his lower back but oh no, this thing goes from the top to the bottom of the spine holding it in place. He said he's auditioning for the gladiator.
No clothes he has is going to fit round that.
I will have to be shown by the physio before he is discharged how to see to this thing for washing him. Apparently I have to lie him on his back on the floor, undo it, wash him down, do it up and get him up off the ground. Blooming 'eck.

Good afternoon all,
You have done your good deed Edna, as you say they will have something to look forward to. Have found a home for the clematis a friend has taken it and given me a young plant that she has been nursing, trouble is she cannot remember what it is called, orange bell shaped flowers, like sunny gry conditions.

Hi bertie and siamese.
We must all have come in at once, but I was writing a message on the board to the best of my ability?
bertie it sounds uncomfortable, but they will probably supply you with a hoist, but make sure you ask for one in advance or you will both have bad backs.
Siamese the plant sounds nice, is it a succulent green to grey colour and like the rosetts that they add to shed roof.
I have forgotten the name but its not hardy if its that one.
I have just slept for two hours and have Als daughter and OH later so wont be here tonight, if I am it will be very late.

At the weekend, I made 6 jars of Lemon, Pear and Pineapple jam. It was very tasty, in fact OH liked it so much, I made a second lot today. He will have it on toast instead of marmalade, as the lemon gives it a nice fresh taste.
Closing time for me, I think. Nighty-night, chaps.
Night night to those who have toddleddreams
see you
Edna, you may just have opened a new avenue for those blind people.
Good for you.
Bertie ... bloomin' Ada, sounds like that is going to be fun and games.
Poor bloke ... am I alowed to say 'bloke' on here, some sites don't like it.
Oh well, if I get modded... won't be the first or I expect the last time

I have done most of the carpets and only have the cushions to do for the chairs. Only problem is that the hand tool keeps springing a leak and I have ended up covered with cleaning liquid Must say that apart from that I am very pleased with the results although the drying time is a lot longer than they say. Talking of which Womble is still leaking from his bath and I have just realised I have left him outside on the bench

Hello friends,
A beautiful summers day here today and the sun is streaming through the windows and all the doors and windows open wide.
Full English and crumpets ans jam, stickybuns lightly toasted
Pets away and all the dusting done.
Just taken delivery of for later to go on the scones for cream toe with anitas delightful jam.
Just heard an awful story from my window cleaner who is being threatened by someone who has slashed his tyres on his van and making threatening phone calls, saying they are just out of jail for murder and he is doing their round and they want it back, police can do nothing he says.

My goodness Edna, don't go with the other company try to keep the window cleaner you have, feel so sorry for the window cleaner. I thought the police would do something as the thug is obviously on probation if just out of prison and he surely can be done for his threatening behavier. Not that I know anything about the law but it doesn't seem acceptable if the thug can get away with what he is doing.
OH has been up on his feet today with this huge brace on and the help of 2 physio nurses. Still has not has the standing x-ray yet. Started reducing his morphine last night. When he phoned this morning I was surprised to get a phone call from him.
I've been to asbos to get the biggest t-shirts they have hoping to go over this brace. If not, I don't know where to go these are XXXL !!!!
It's a beautiful day here, lovely bright and warm.
Had my lunch and waiting to go to visit OH. I haven't the enthusiam to do anything else. Feel a bit drained although I didn't have a bad nights sleep last night only woke up a couple times.
Off to read the board.

Hello bertie,
I was just going to reply to you earlier and the phnoe rang and then when I diod get back the computer had frozen and had to shut down and restart.
I hope OH is feeling better today but hope the brace is not too uncomfortable.
I used to have terrible trouble getting XXXL clothes for my Al when he was large before he became ill, try the likes of Debenhams or the bigger named stores for them.
Asd* may have some too.
I am just off to do a bit of gardening as I have visitors later and I am out tonight so need to get a bit done while the weather is good.
Edna
Bertie,
There is a shop called big and tall... if not try the sport shop outlets. Trouble is, you don't want to go buying expensive large shirts now do you!
Believe it or not, there are not that many XXXL shirts here in the FL outlets either, their used to be loads of them. Don't know if you have a Tommy Hilf****r near you but they do really big Tshirts, they seemed to be the cheapest here.
sent you a pm Bertie with some other places to look

Just a quick call as not feeling 100%, giddy spells. Going to Coughton Court to morrow so hope to have a good nights sleep (tell the cats that)
for Bertie.

Just to say, that in the circumstances, a more apt name for the bar this time around might have been 'The Indian Summer'.

Hello friends,
Pheno I think we have already had that name for a bar.
It got very warm here today and I got a little bit done in the garden but not a lot as daughter came with computer geek friend of GDs with his twin boys.
He has fixed a bug that has been there for a long time and speeded it up but it needs more ram and he is getting that for me and is going to clean the inside while he does it. He has taken my old laptop away to fix and re install the windows which was faulty.
Hope everyone is ok and blossom too as son was staying for a bit but hope to see you here soon
I am going out soon as I am being taken to the Chrysanthimum society tonight by some of the garden group.
Edna
