I can only suggest that the birth name was not Jesse but a nickname used by the family.Ìý Thank you all for your help. Rebecca was Georges 2nd wife. His first Sarah died in Feb 1868 . The only Flint I can find born in Dorking is a William Francis Dec 1869 but no Jesse.

This one looks interseting for a birth for David as same baptism two places and both places are the marriage place as mentioned earlier and the birth place of Rebecca Mitchell and also Jesse James Mitchell so too much of a coincidence to ignore and I am sure people can follow these on the census for further information
