    Are we talking about Somerset?

Have you anything more to go on, can we see her in another census?

Yes, of course, you said Somerset in the heading. Jan seems to have them. Can't pin them down in the 1841.

    Maybe someone else will.

    Many thanks.
Still confused. did the 1841 Census say if she was married or widowed. I had info given to me that her husband buried 1839. It must be wrong if two daughters Ellen and Mary born. syljun

Unfortunately the 1841 census didn't give relationships , or whether people were married widowed or single , or either a persific place of birth , just whether they were born ' in county' or not

She could have been married and widowed before 1841 , and the 2 little girls are from a relationship , there's a big gap between the sons and daughters on 1851

There is a Samuel Tutton buried 11th Sept 1839 at Shipham aged 31. As stated earlier, the other children could be from a different relationship. Big age gap there.

Actually there are quite a few Tuttons in Shipham on Freereg, very much transcribed, including a Marianne burial in 1853 aged 45. Plus Ellens buried as children. 1855 aged 7 and 1846 aged 2.

    Certianly worth a look

Thank you all, Brilliant work. Samuel must be the 1839 Burial. what a coincidence today's date. I had purchased the 1850 Death Cert for a Samuel Tutton which was of course wrong so was reluctant to buy the 1839,now knowing his actual burial is good.
As to Ellen and Mary I can at least add them as children of Mother Mary Ann.
There are a lot of Tuttons which has been a nightmare to unravel who was who. Mother Mary Ann was a Tripp. Another nightmare family.
    Thank you once again. Syljun
