Ive been looking to see where ANOTHER James Folly ended up and i think i may have him in California USA in 1880 but not sure.
He was bnorn 1835 in Chinnor Oxon to John and Ann Folly. In California he is shown as born England as is his parents with his wife Agnes S Folly was is 21 years his Jnr. She is also born England. I cant find a marriage on the free BMD index so must have married in the US.
Could anyone track him in the cenus's to see if/when he left ?

There are a few James Folley's showing. Roughly the same date on the 1851. Could these be looked at ?

Not that I can findΜύ From what i remember (years ago granted), i think i did find them on the 1841 in Chinnor.
There is a John showing born c1806 is this him ? -

The only people I can find by the name of James Folly/Folley and born at roughly the right time on 1841 census had parents Joseph & Mary and William & Susanah.
On 1851 census there is a James Folley born in Chinnor and aged 14. He is a servant (ploughboy) in Princes Risborough, Wycombe on the farm of Robert Cadle. -

I got the marriage from the parish registers that i researched a while ago.
There absense could be because the went to the US maybe ? Their last child, James was born 1835 so could have gone pre census ?
I do know their other children Eliza, Mary, John stayed, but another child Willian died in 1841 so could be around.
Not sure.

I dont think this ther family, sorry.
Places or birth and children do not tally with what i have.
Although im convinced the family are related in someway. We are are in this Oxfordshire and Bucks area.

Think i may have solved this one with some help.
I believe that James born 1835 IS the man in California in 1880.
There is a marriage in 1875 Kingston Reg Dist to a Sarah Agnes Parry. Future US census' show that James emmigrated to the US in 1858, his wife in 1875 that same year as marriage. In the older census' she is shown as Agnes S then Sarah Agnes. The link to Kingston was James brother John, who lived in the area at the time.

Just opening this one again.
Im trying to find out where his wife Sarah Agnes Parry was born. All i know is that she was born c1856. She married in 1875, probably around the Teddington or Kingston area.
Does she pop up on the 1871 census in these areas ?
