Grateful if any historians out there could give me a brief summary of what wars/conflicts Britain was involved in from 1700-1900? I've been researching my family tree and have traced an ancestor back to his birth in 1776 - I'd like to find out what happened during his lifetime/his parents/descendants lifetimes.

I've already discovered that some of his descendants fought in WW1 - they all made it back too - so I'd like to buid a bigger picture. Not after any great rafts of facts just thing like Boer War xxxx-xxxx etc.

    Thanks v much!
