    Alot of my family moved about so i have relatives in England, Scotland and Northern Ireland. I started looking at the Scottish census, births and marriages website but where can i find the same for England and Northern Ireland AND do i have to pay for this information??? Thanks!

    try ancestry they have uk census from 1861 to 1901.
    For BMD try 1837 online.
    Both are pay to view.
    There is also free BMD. Just put the mames into google it will bring up the websites

    Hi you could try www.1901census.nationalarchives.gov.uk, its where i got some of my information from. It's free to search and see the results- they tell you the person's name, place of birth, where they were living in 1901 and their occupation, but to go into more detail you have to pay. I'm not sure of exactly how much but i think its 50p to see some more basic information. You could also try www.ancestry.co.uk but you can only see limited information before you have to pay- i know the 1881 census is available free. Good luck
