I am looking for information on any COWHERD's immigrating to Canada in the late 1700s/early 1800s. ALSO, are there any COWHERD's still in the UK?
above link if free websites that may help with your research.
There are many trees on Genes Reunited with this name and some from the same area that yours come from and you can join for Β£9.99 for 6 months and check out those trees and possibly make contact with the tree owners.

Hi Kim,
I'm a Cowherd, from the Ulverston/Staveley area Cowherd/Coward branch. I think we have both been looking for the same person - James, father of William. Have you had any luck in finding him? I'm looking for him to see if he is related or not - I think he might be.
Mike.
Welcome to the board Mike
Kim only ever made this one post and did not come back but have you tried googleing the name you have in common to see if she has posted elsewhere or try genes reunited to see if others have this name.
