I am trying to find my wife`s grandfather in the 1901 census but I suspect he was serving in the boer war. Could someone kindly look up the 1891 census for a "Thomas Spring" Possibly living with his parents (fathers name could also be Thomas) in Bedminster, Bristol. His age would probably be between 10 & 20 years

I can only find a THOMAS SPRING born Bristol, Somerset born abt 1827 aged 64 living with wife ELIZA SPRING [her born Portsmouth, Hants] living in Portsmouth. No children living with them. I have also put a search on for a THOMAS SPRING dob between 10-20years old IN 1891 but can't find anyone of that name.

Thank you very much for the response. I think this is indeed the Thomas Spring I was looking for.

    regards, Mitzy

Did you pick up the message which I left on the 'old' messageboard about using the 1881 Census on Ancestry/National archives?
