I understand that all soldiers killed in WW1 are listed on a web site. Can someone please confirm this and if so tell me the site, please ? My enquiry concerns a soldier of Oxford and Buck LI Reg.,killed in 1915 in Mesopotamia. Thank you.
If you go to www.cwgc.org you will be guided through their search engine. You don't need to put in detailed information to get a result, either.

Tamwell,
Thanks for the information. I found the details I wanted almost immediately.
You might also want to visit:
www.military-genealogy.com
This is a new website which lists all the British troops killed in the First World War. It is a pay-per-view site but is rather more useful that the CWGC site as it gives extra info such as where they joined up, their residence and how they died (though not specifically - 'died in action', for example).
It also allows you to search by surname and area - so, for example, you could search for all the people with the surname Smith born in Bristol, or whatever. I have found four more of my family were casualties through these random surname searches.
