I have got a photo of my husbands grandfather who is dressed as a doorman. On his hat it says Paramount, but I have been told there was no cinema at Belle Vue. Can anybody shed any light on this or where I might get the info? I was told he definatley worked at Belle Vue before 1956.
According to my Mother there was no cinema at Belle Vue, but mentioned there was a dance hall there. Could it have been called the Paramount ?
Does anybody know if the dance hall at Belle Vue in Manchester was called the Paramount?
The Odeon Cinema on Oxford Street was built in 1930 and opened as the Paramount Cinema. ...
According to this website, the Ballroom was called Coronation. It also suggests searching the A2A archives for Belle Vue History.
