I am trying to find out about my late father's uncles and aunts and their various off spring.
The only clues I have is the names of the family homes, which are: Ty Uchaf, Eunant, Rhiwgar.
My grandfather, like several members of his family worked for the old Liverpool corporation.
As far as I can make out my grandfather and his siblings were born between 1880 and 1901.
For referance purposes my late father's name was John MΓ΄n (1931-1986)
My grandfather's parents were John and Elizabeth. my grandfather and his siblings were:
John William (grandfather.
Robert David - married my grandmother's eldest sister.
Margaret: married Goronwy Owen.
Elizabeth: married John Morris.
Felix: married Dorothy.
Thomas: married Nelly.
David: married Jenny.
Wyddyn: married Eluned.
Jane: married??
I haven't included the names of the children of the above as the majority I believe have now passed away.
Can anyone please help, thanks.

The Montgomeryshire Llanwyddyn is the village that is now at the bottom of Lake Vyrnwy. Are you certain that it is the Montgomeryshire village you want?
I can see why Celyn might ask. Especially with the name John MΓ΄n.

Yes. Tha farms in question I believe are in that area and I think go along or near the route from the original village to Bala - if going by the present day road.
The Evans family originated in the LLanwddyn/LLanfyllin area.

Well, although the village was drowned they transferred the contents of the graveyard to that of a new church. I don't know, but I would have thought that the Records Office might have details of such things - more than relate to normals burials etc.
Interesting stuff. If your ancestors were working for the Liverpool Corporation, were they perhaps involved in building the dam?
