Can anyone help me work out what this entry on the 1901 Census could be? After locating a family on my tree in the 1901 Census I found that the only child of the family had a name that didn't quite make sense to me. The transcription at Ancestry gives the details as follows:
Wrint Jane Greig b1892 in Linton, Northumberland
1901 English Census - Aged 9 Years
Source information: RG13/4836
Registration district: Morpeth
Sub-registration district: Bedlington
ED, institution, or vessel: 25
Folio: 132
Page: 14
If anyone has access to the original images and could check it out for me and see if they can make sense of this name I would greatly appreciate it.

Hi Jo
Yes the surname is Greig. Tks very much for the help
Michelle
Well I can't read it properly but the head is called Alexander and the A is not closed at the top just like the Wrint. So it probably starts with an A. Looks like it ends in a P too. Maybe someone else can decipher the awful writing.
Jo
Thanks Jo for taking the time to look. I am very grateful that you have taken the time to look it up for me. I think I might go to bed and think about it again in the morning. In the meantime if anyone else takes a look and can come up with any answer to this one I would be very grateful.

Hi Michelle,
Just to confuse the issue I believe the first three letters are WHI. Could it be an abreviation of another name?
Regards
Spike<QUOTE' USER='Chelle54' USERID='1690107'>Thanks Jo for taking the time to look. Yes, he didn't save much ink did he!
Hey guys thanks so much for taking all this time to decipher this for me, I really appreciate it.
Sorry for taking some time to get back to you and acknowledge it all, but that nasty W word got in the way and I didn't get chance to get back and check for further responses from you all.
Many thanks
Michelle
