I believe my Farther served on the convoys from America to Russia at sometime during the 2nd World War.I understand also he served with the Sherwood Foresters. Would anyone have any idea where i would go to perhaps find out what ships he served on

My Grandfather was also in the Merchant Navy I have done a page in his memory on BBc WW2 peoples page. Under Scotlands Kennedy Brothers. I have had lots of people reply and am even in contact with a child of the carpenter my Grandfather saved.
Also a page on www.mikekimble.com WW2 researh One mans life afloat. Captain Duncan Cameron Kennedy.
I went to Kew to trace a lot of my information.
You could look up his service record their.
Your Grandfather would of had a service book see if any family have this it will have all the ships in it.
Good Luck.
