    I have the following family on the 1881C, RG11/3350 F69 P57

George Thomas Stenson, head, b.abt 1843 Billingboro, Lincs. Lace manufacturer.
    Mary A, wife, b.abt 1843 Harlaxton, Lincs.
    Augustin, son, b.abt 1868 Notts
    George H, son, b.abt 1871 Notts
Annie Humphrys, servant, b.abt 1859 Oxfords.

I can find no trace of them neither on any other census nor on any 0n-line database for birth/marriages/deaths.

Would any kind soul like to take up the challenge of looking for them?
    Thanks

Thankyou very much. You're awfully good. How did you manage to track them down to these surnames? Did you happen to look for Augustin on the 1871C? I'd be interested to know who he was staying with.
    Thanks again

Hi Lofty owl, I think a new pair of eyes on a name sometimes works wonders. I can't find Augustine in 1871, but there is a William Stenson, age 2 who is living with his grandparents William age 49, a canal labourer and Eliza age 4, they also have their daughter, Elizabeth age 11, their address is 1, Canal side, Ilkeston, is there a possibilty this is him?, best wishes, Jean

No I dont't think that they are connected. I have most of the details of the family at 1 Canal Side, Ilkeston and their extended family through 4 generations covering 62 known individuals. If there is a link between Augustine and this family, I haven't found it.
It could of course be that Augustine went under another family nickname, or even died. I'll keep looking.
Thanks for your help. More aliens to come
