I am looking for the death of a "Harriet Guest". She was born Abt 1825. I have found an entry on the 1851 census. She was married to "Charles Guest" and living in Weston-super-Mare. Four years later in 1855 Charles married "fanny Edwards" and is entered on the marriage certificate as a widower. I have looked on "1837online" with no results. Maybe a search on the 1861 census would show Charles and Harriet still married and prove i`m barking up the wrong tree, but I don`t think so. Iwould appreciate any info.

    Thanks.

    Hi mitzy,

How sure are you that Harriet 'Died' in the 1850s. For example there was a Harriet Guest who died in 1874 age 70 Okehampton, Deveon.

    Just a thought.
    Regards
    Spike

Hi Spike. I think she died in the 1850s because on Charles and Fanny`s marriage certificate it states that Charles was a widower and he is listed on the 1851 census as being married to Harriet. It seems to make sense. What do you think?

    Hi mitzy,
Yes it does but there is always an out side chance that he put himself down as a widow to keep things 'simple' smiley - winkeye
