Hi,
If you copy and post your message on the Family Trees board - on the left - you'll get all the help you need.
Good luck
If they are still alive, I'm afraid we can't discuss living people, but someone on the Family Trees board will tell you the best places to look.

They's better be quick then! The 22nd is pretty soon!
Is your father still alive, if so have you asked him or other close family members like your aunts and uncles.
Ferval,
"The 22nd is pretty soon!"
did I miss something as little Belgian?
Kind regards and with esteem,
Paul.
Addendum to previous message.
OOPS, I just read the Triceratops message in the Thomas thread.
Cheers, Paul.

Paul, go to the message from the hosts at the top of the page. Read it and weep!
You need to see your father's birth certificate
The BMD index can be found on Findmypast.co.uk or Ancestry.co.uk. Your local library will have free access to both sites. Alternatively you can take up the 14 day free trial, just remember to cancel before the 14 days are up otherwise you will be charged.
You have the date but do you also have the rough location? the name is quite common so there will be several registered in the same quarter. Don't forget parents have 6 weeks to register a child so the registration may be in the next quarter.
Once you have the index details you can apply for the certificate online from the GRO www.gro.gov.uk it costs Β£9.25 and usually takes about 7-10 days to come back to you. This will give you the names of your grandparents.
As these boards are closing soon I suggest you join rootschat . com for family history help. Its a free forum and there are many many people there willing to help you. As with this site, we can't discuss living people online
good luck
a few other things to think about
did george have a middle name or initial - will help to locate him better. or is george his middle name , which he uses.
approx when did he marry - use the birthdates of your father and his siblings as a rough guide.
if yourgrandparents are not alive what approx year and area did they die - you might be able to use the BMD index as above to find their deaths. these give dates of birth which you should be able to match for your grandfather and will give you your grandmothers date of birth too . ( though dont forget they are only as accurate as the person giving the info - it is not unusual to find that the informant has given the wrong year etc. )
