I'm sure you will all be as pleased as I was to be shown this:-

Among the programmes available are 14 Chronicles, of blessed memory, as well as lots of others of interest.

The Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ has kept this very quiet or have I just missed the informatio

    Enjoy!

    Ferval,

pity that it is not available for little Belgians as I. United Kingdom for the Brits only. I know, I know, it is all about authors rights and all that or some money reasons I don't know which....
Wouldn't it be interesting to make it worldwide for the British "image" in the world, as the Deutsche Welle or the French TV 5?

    Cheers, Paul.

Ooh what a treasure trove, Ferval! I shall have hours of fun with that! One of those Chronicle programmes is about Sutton Hoo,- my son and I watched the original in 1989

Thank you, thank you ferv. What a find!

I knew that on line services had a use if I just waited long enough to find them.

    Regards, P.

I'm afraid it's my son you need to thank, he stumbled on the archive while looking for an old programme that he thought might be available on DVD. I'm looking forward to seeing how some of these programmes stand up to the passage of so many years and if they were as good as I remember.
It's sad that so many have not been kept, I'd love to see some of the 'Animal, Vegetable and Mineral ones that I vaguely recall.

What programmes would you like to see again?

Sorry to tantalise you Paul, it's such a pity that there's no way you poor furriners can access them. At the very least, there should be a subscription service.

If you haven't enough to keep you amused yet, here's some more TV and radio

Let's hope this service doesn't fall victim to the cuts.

There is some hope: Foreigners like me can already access a fair amount of Βι¶ΉΤΌΕΔ programming by using the IPlayer application on iPad (I write this on mine), and perhaps other mobile devices, for an acceptable monthly fee. Perhaps these programmes will become available at some time. Subscription fees should overcome copyright issues.

    Mutatis Mutandis,

    "Foreigners like me..."

And now we can start to guess what nationality...smiley - smiley
From Europe we have already a Dane, a German, (had, still have?) a Dutchman, (had, still have?) a Greek , the Ukrainian Jack, a female Australian residing on a Greek island, an Irishman residing in Norway, (had, still have?) a Czech, and now recently a Frenchman residing in Britain. We had the Polish Jozef and the Swedish Hasse. And of course the contributing little Belgian (hmm, rather tall)

    Guessing what nationality....
It would be "funny", at least to me, if you would coincidentally be a Frenchman...just to prove for some! on these boards that...
Just a little something about "frogs" and "rosbifs":

Kind regards and with high esteem,

    Paul.
