canadian army ww1

  would anyone have any idea what type of unit , my ancestor joined in april 1918,
  it was 1st depot batt, 2nd C O R regt. i have tried the wars and conflict board with no luck

  They will photocopy the record for you, but as I understand it, they can't tell you the exact cost because it depends on the number of pages. I went into this myself because OH's grandfather had gone out to Canada to find work when WW1 started, so he joined the Canadian Army.
  You should have asked on the FH board, Smudger!
  
  Have you thought of joining Rootschat?
  
  It's free, you only have to register, and they have military and Canadian boards.
  Most of us FH regulars are also members on there and there are some very knowledgeable folk on it.
