I heard this tune a few years ago and loved it; now I've rediscovered it on the internet.
Can anyone give me an interpretation of what it means?

baz,
I think the serious Mariachi aficianados are all away studying at the moment. As far as I can tell, because I can't make out hardly a word they're singing, it's all about a small horse in the Tamaulipas region of Mexico.
When next in London why not pop in the Mexican Embassy and ask for help there ? I'll lend you my hat if you want to travel there both in comfort and style.
PS
My fine hat came from The Pumping Station, Cardiff, but I think it was the last one.
I don't understand any of the words but, looking at the picture, I'm guessing that the song is about a small chap in a large hat who is singing and playing his guitarro outside a securo hospitalo des hombres loco when one of the inmatadors manages to drag him through the barred window. This was probably possible because the bars are cheap bottom-of-the-range ones from a well-known DIY superstore which was doing a "buy some cheap window bars and get a free antique-style security light" deal. I suspect that none of this would have happened had it not been for the hospitalo getting its security budget cut by the toryadors.
Finally, I would like to apologise to anyone who thought that this may have been worth reading.

I'll get my coat.
Tolhurst,
It's just that sometimes I read back what I've written and think that maybe I should be in the hospitalo des hombres locos.
I'll get my poncho.
