During Monday's show which featured Alan Sparhawk from Low, the Guv'nor asked whether there were any other suggestion of guests out there worth chasing.

Putting aside my dream Fantasy Roundtable of Lou Reed, Ralf HΓΌtter, Morrissey and Jonathan Richman which seems slightly unattainable - I'd suggest just one name. After his recent staring role on The One Show, I nonimate the legend that is Lawrence from Felt/Denim/Go-Kart Mozart.

Leonard Cohen would be excellent, I think. Intelligent, gracious, funny and probably easier to be in a room with than Lou Reed; although I'd agree that Lou would be good value. How about John Cale? Danny Thompson may be worth thinking about : great bass player and played on some great records.

Another person of interest who I notice is in London next month is Grant Hart. Been meaning to track down that Husker Du biography that's just been published that I believe Grant was interviewed for. Some of his early solo work has just been re-issued too - surely worth a play sometime ...
