I think you might have to be a bit more specific; I was thinking that jangly indiepop was a bit sort of rain music-ish, but more drizzle than rain proper.
Black metal's kind of wintry too, all those bands with logos so spiky and twiggy that you can't read them.
Some of the electronica is dawn music.
Glitch is very Christmassy
Not up on the nuances of metal sub genres, but the droney sludgey stuff would be like walking through knee deep mud whilst being pelted by acid rain.
And being snowed in today (hurrah!) had Thomas Koner on which is very icy and frosty so had to warm up with a bit of Afrocubism which is very sunny and hot.
