There's another special in the offing. And this tine it will attempt to do justice to another entire decade with via three hours of music.
That being the case, what songs should feature for the 1980s.
Thanks as ever.

Miracle Legion - Backyard
Gregory Isaacs- Night Nurse
The Cure - A Forest
Grandmaster Flash & the Furious Five - The Message
R.E.M. - Radio Free Europe
Simple Minds- Someone Somewhere (In Summertime)
Bronski Beat - Smalltown Boy
The Fall - Totally Wired
Eric B. & Rakim - Paid In Full

Wholeheartedly agree with most of the above suggestions, only *please* no The The or Martin Stephenson.
I would add Lloyd Cole & The Commotions - choice tracks like 'Forest Fire', 'Charlotte Street' and 'Rattlesnakes'.
Also the amazing Red Guitars - 'Steeltown', 'Dive', or 'Marimba Jive'

The only interesting things happening were house music and rap.
