OMD's eponymous track mentions lots of types of electricity - nuclear and H.E.P. for instance - and they presume the future is "Solar electricity".
Kraftwerk's "The Mix" took the idea of "Radio-Activity" and made into a hymn against the dangers of civil nuclear power. And Hiroshima.
Thomas Dolby plumped for "Wind Power".
Any more? is there an oil-fired station at Stanlow?
I think there's a spoken near the end of "Inside of your heart" by Velvet Underground where Lou says "Electricity comes from other planets". I'll have to find the record and check it, though, as my memory is pretty lousy.
Apparently, my typing is pretty lousy too.
Rick Wakeman probably never made a record called "Power from the Centre of the Earth".
Did Queen ever make one called "Bicycle Dash for Gas"?
The Sundays did, however, release "Static and Silence"...
tolhurst, why no mention of 'Ohm Sweet Ohm'?

Neil Young wrote a whole album, Fork In The Road, about his homemade electric car.
Diode? Or was it Dido?
Anything by Sparks.
David Byrne felt all charged up with electricity on 'Drugs', then had a bash on his 'Electric Guitar' on 'Fear of Music'.
Blur had a 'Battery In My Leg'.
Oh, and 'David Watts'.
None of these will be played on Dynamones show though, sadly.
how about electricity from safe as milk by captain beefheart & his magic band?
Would that be a battery-operated dido?
tolhurst, why no mention of 'Ohm Sweet Ohm'?Β because resistance is futile?
"Tin Solder" by The Small Fuses
Anything by Linda Rheostat
How about a bit of Van der Graaf Generator?
because resistance is futile?Β
I asked for that...

Kraftwerk's "Voice of Energy"
"Here speaks the voice of energy.
I am a huge electric generator.
I supply you with light and power, and give you the ability to transmit and receive speech, music and pictures* through the ether.
I am your servant and your master at once.
So take good care of me.
Of me, the genius of electricity".
Not sure if electricity speaks much in other records (I don't count "magic pianos" or "Superman ah ah ah ah ah ah ah" as "electricity"...)
...but the Voice doesn't say what is powering it...
* I doubt the word "Das Kontent" had been invented in 1975

According to The Bonzos, Lord Snooty had a giant poisoned electric head.
When the Tubeway Army asked whether "friends" are electric, they failed to mention whether this was nuclear or H.E.P...

Indeed, if Numans friends *are* electric, I'd strongly suggest he doesn't take them for a spin in his cessna.
