Me jumping ship !

  Hello all. Can't quite believe that this is my last week at 6Music and this is the first time I've posted on this message board.. better late than never eh? I just wanted to set the record straight really and say that I'm not jumping ship at what is obviously a difficult time for 6Music, I really wouldn't want anybody to think that. I care deeply for the network, as you all do and I wouldn't want anyone to think that I was high-tailing it when things got tough. My contract came to an end and that was that. I am really sad to be leaving and I just want to take this opportunity to thank everyone who's listened to me in the eight long years (!) I've been with the station Thanks for all your kind words and your support, but mostly your love,commitment and passion for what 6Music does. Keep fighting the good fight. Let's all meet up and have a drink sometime shall we ? I'll have a large dry white and I'l get Lammo to bring the pork scratchings..what that man doesn't know about bar snacks, isn't worth knowing. Keep the faith comrades ! Clare x

  So sorry you're leaving. It's always sad when someone leaves 6Music - it seems more like a family than a radio station. That's why we're all so passionate about what's going on at the moment. Hope eveything goes well for you and we hear from you soon.

  How many DJs are left who were here when 6 launched? The "Ken Barlows" of 6, if you will. Tom Robinson, Liz Kershaw, the Hawk? There's still quite a few aren't there.

  Sorry you're leaving Clare... I have very fond memories of listening to you on the GLR breakfast show on a particularly long commute in the late 90s.
