I've been away for a while and can't remember if I'm allowed to post links to other websites. If I'm not, I'll guess you'll never know I tried.

Anyway, thanks to Word Magazine for this invaluable and highly educational link:

I'm thinking of having this laminated and hung around my neck to help explain to everyone why I am like I am. Or something.

Excellent link MickShrimpton smiley - laugh

As a fan of Porcupine Tree and the wonderful combination of Steve Wilson (may he not travel too far up his own back passage), Gavin Harrison and Richard Barbieri (Japan) - it was nice to see them part of the modern prog movement. Although my other half says its 'neuvo prog' (rolls eyes).

For anyone who's vaguely interested - Steve Wilson and Gavin Harrison are presently closely involved with King Crimson.

We maybe bumped over to the Freakzone board though......

    Thats quite brilliant.

Love the 'advert'for the 160GB Ipod - holds 'up to 40 progressive rock songs'.

    Heh, I enjoyed that.

Must admit I have always wondered, as a professional DJ gid, do you keep a Yes track handy (other prog bands are available) just in-case you have an unscheduled toilet break?

Seems to be a sensible strategy.

On a bizarre tangent, the Mrs and I where talking the other day (sorry to madly off-topic) but about what to call a punk band.

The best we came up with was "Say no to Yes"

Anyhow a pile of washing-up beckons.

Yes as a Dj do you ever see your self producing the music? As you are so talented!

I agree with ethalrocks it does seem to be a sensible stratagy.

Love you work listening to alot of

I bloody hated prog first time round but for some reason seem to be drawn back to selected bits of it now. Think its got something to do with trying to recapture lost youth but its pretty selective.

Still can't stand Genesis (apart from a few selected tracks) but I was a huge Gabriel fan and loved the Steve Hillage solo work. Hated Yes but love Olias of Sunhillow.

Also a big fan of Porcupine Tree, and its NU-prog dear. Nuevo is far too difficult to spell on the back of your sleeveless bikers jacket.

Sorry that should have been Steve Hackett of course. Also am a fan of Hillage but always get them mixed up [takes medication]
