Gone are the days when bands used to knock-out two long-players per year and still manage to tour every country in the world between each release. Nowadays, they turn up with their instruments, record a great album, get us all excited, tour for a bit (usually missing the East Anglia wasteland I call home) and then disappear. I mean where's the commitment?
Bands that have been away too long;
Midlake
The White Stripes
Olivia Tremor Control
Supergrass
The Magic Numbers
The Electric Soft Parade
Interpol
Arcade Fire
