Here. It's not an exciting thread, I'll give you that, but it might come in useful.

Isn't there a danger here that the unworthy emails that you usually edit or refuse to read as they're too stupid or controversial will be exposed for the rubbish they are.
We might need saving from ourselves, Gideon.

"Les Mains dans le Poche": get your producer to write out 100 times "Les Mains dans *les Poches*"((our)hands in (our) pockets). Even if the hands were all in one pocket, it's *la* poche anyway!
When your presenter has finished, it will be time to put him or her into detention anyway for "hands in pockets"

interestingly enough, it's so hard to write an SMS that Gid would only get really short ones from me, while posting here there's a sort of big input box inviting a huge post with lots of words that's far too long to read out!
and when do these boards shut at night?

On short records (crossing nicely over with the problematic words issue elsewhere), there was an ep that Peelie used to play on F. Off records called the S#!T Music EP. From memory, 60 tracks on one 7β. (From memory because my copy got robbed)
If youβve got that one in your box:
a) Iβll be astonished
b) Iβll be down there to claim whatβs rightfully mine β bet they never sold more than 1 or 2

as for short records, did the Ramones ever play anything that was longer than two minutes?
"Peter Sellers Sings George Gershwin" was also memorably short - the song comprises the words "George Gershwin"

Brakes have a lovely line in short songs. Comma comma comma full stop being a case in point (about 5 seconds long?). The one about Dick Cheney also took brevity to the extreme, though may pose language issues

Howdo Gideon, Justin,
The problem with the message boards is the permanency. So, let's not give ourselves away! Good toggling and thinking there to ask us to get in here, what with no email. At least there's no printer work. I've managed to iron two shirts--one for tomorrow--one for Monday, and a pair of Farah slacks...I might wear them on Monday week, unless they're called into action sooner. As for short, Maradonna and me are short, so is Longships from the Raven, by the Stranglers (1979!)....how many times do I have to ask you to choose "Fan Mail" or "I Know But I Don't Know!". Cheers, SDC.

I agree, Fan Mail is a great track, as is I Didn't Have The Nerve To Say No. Was still great to hear Fade Away... though!

The Spear, I don't know the answer, and I won't feel good winning by toggling the answer!
